Every woman loves to pamper herself every here and there with her manicures or pedicures! Here’s how to do a pedicure on your own and at home.
During the Summer season, a lot of us tend to get a pedicure! However, what if we told you that you can do the pedicure on your own, without investing a lot of time or money into the process? If you want to have the prettiest and most-nourished feet, here’s how!
Step 1: Use Your Nail Polish Remover
Remove any previous traces of your nail polish with your trustworthy acetone and a cotton pad. Make sure your nails are clean and free of any excess before you move on with the process.
Step 2: Soak Your Feet
Fill up your smaller tub with warm water and some soap and let your feet soak in it for 15 minutes. Your feet should be wet and soaked in order for your pedicure to work.
Step 3: Remove The Dead Skin
Dry your feet with a towel and use a large foot file to remove any dead skin cells. Rub the feet back and forth with this tool and scrape all the areas till you are left with smooth skin. Don’t be too harsh since you don’t want to harm your skin.
Step 4: Shape Your Nails
With a nail trimmer achieve the perfect length and shape of your toenails! Cut straight across and then use a nail file and a nail buffer to smooth out the corners.
Step 5: Use A Cuticle Oil & A Moisturizer
Make sure your nails are moisturized with cuticle oil and your favorite unscented lotion. Apply these two in a heavy form and watch your skin soften.
Step 6: Add Your Polish
After your feet are prepped and moisturized, move onto your favorite nail polish color. Add a base, then follow up with two coats of your favorite colors. Work with thin strokes and let them dry off before you move onto the next layer. Finish off the pedicure with a topcoat.
